Leland's Jason Tenner and Prospect's Carlos Boles will square off as the head coaches when the 32nd annual Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game comes to town on July 19. Tenner will coach the South squad and Boles the North in the game, also called the Silicon Valley Youth Classic, that's sponsored each year by the Almaden Rotary Club. A talented crop of high school seniors will play in this year's game on July 19, 7:30 p.m., at San Jose City College. Tickets, priced at $15, will be available at the gate the night of the game. Among the local players set to compete for the South team in the summer game are the defensive linemen Melis Barota and Michael Dally and tight end Travis Delamore of Leland, and defensive back Nick D'Antonio, wide receiver J.J. Goulden, linebacker C.J. Miller and running back Shaun Souza of Pioneer. |
