This year's game was another BIG success. The South beat the North in a spirited game that honored Charlie Wedemeyer. The final score was 27-24 and turned out to be a very exciting game. The Almaden Valley Rotary Club is proud to present the Annual Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game, the Silicon Valley Youth Classic. This year is our 36th year of honoring graduating senior high school football players. The game is be played at 7:30 pm Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at Spartan Stadium. For those who want to buy TICKETS before the game night, they are available at these Locations. Tickets are $15 and children under 8 are free with a paid adult. Congratulations to the Head Football COACHES, Mike Carrozzo of Leland High School for the South; and Matt Haniger of Archbishop Mitty High School for the North. The coaches have completed their selection of players though the North roster is not yet complete. The rosters are available for the South Roster and the North Roster respectively. The rosters have links to each player's page. There are also some pictures of the practices on the player's roster page. Players, check out the Rosters of past years for examples of the information that can be included. In our 36th year we are entering the modern world. And check out the Media page for press releases and other information concerning the game. This year's Banquet occurred on Monday, May 17th at the 300 San Jose bowling center. This year's speaker, Trent Dilfer, was introduced by the Master of Ceremonies, Bob Braunstein, Executive Producer Host for CAL-HI Sports Bay Area. We had a GREAT crowd! Two tickets are available to every one of the past participants of the All Star games but you must get in touch with us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to receive the tickets.
