Mercury News Comments:
Faules, named most valuable player of the Santa Clara Valley League El Camino Division, rushed for 1,663 yards and 26 touchdowns in 152 attempts. During the Mustangs' playoff run, he gained 513 yards and scored seven touchdowns in three playoff games. He also returned three kickoffs for touchdowns during th regular season, each covering 90 or more yards.

Mercury News Comments:
Following his success as a running back, Faules makes his second All-Mercury News team of the school year. Faules, a senior, was dominant in CCS competition, sweeping the hurdles at the section meet. He had a season-best 38.75 in the 300 at CCS and 14.56 was his best in the 110 highs.
