Mercury News Comments:
Bellotti was worthy of a first-team consideration on both sides of the ball. He intercepted four passes and registered 69 tackles as a free safety, and caught 28 passes for 635 yards and scored nine touchdowns. Among his biggest games: 17 tackles against Saratoga and touchdown catches of 71 and 36 yards in a 21-7 semifinal victory over Aragon. "He's got good speed and great range," Coach Butch Cattolico said. "He's too valuable not to play both ways."
