Mercury News Comments:
Lawyer was the only Oak Grove lineman to go both ways, because he was too valuable to take off the field. He was integral in Oak Grove's ability to amass 3,374 yards rushing, one of the highest totals in the section. He credits his success to playing basketball. "It's given me the footwork to get off the ball quicker," he said. Lawyer, the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mount Hamilton Division senior of the year, has recruiting trips to Nevada, Portland State, Utah and Wyoming.
