The West Catholic Athletic League defensive back of the year had 102 tackles in 11 games, including 22 in a narrow victory over Serra. Moreno, a free safety, "aggressively plays to the line of scrimmage," defensive coordinator Eric Scharrenberg said. He recovered three fumbles and intercepted two passes, while also playing the role of "the quarterback of our defense," Scharrenberg said. Moreno is being recruited by Air Force and Navy.
