Mercury News Comments:
Thompson spent nearly the entire season at defensive end but was switched to the inside for the final two playoff games, where he helped stuff the run and allowed the Warriors to cross up St. Francis and Los Gatos with defensive backs and linebackers off the edge. Thompson had 70 tackles and 8 1/2 sacks and is being recruited by San Diego State and New Mexico State.
