Despite being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 8, John has played eight years of competitive football - four with Palo Alto Pop Warner and four at Palo Alto High School, where he started as center for three years. He has never let diabetes interfere with what he wants to do; snowboarding, playing electric bass and acting are three other passions!
