Despite ankle injuries that sidelined him during the first and last games, Gardiner achieved his second consecutive 2,000-yard season. His total of 2,139 gave him 4,497 for his career, scoring 62 touchdowns along the way. While Gardiner hit the hole hard, he was patient enough to read his blocks and allow the hole to develop.
