Al-Helew was an inspirational leader of the Saints' defense which gave up just 55 points in 11 games. The most valuable player in the Santa Teresa Division recorded 85 tackles, 11.5 sacks and five fumble recoveries. A standout wrestler who won the 171-pound title at the Cupertino Memorial Tournament on Saturday, he also played guard. The three-year varsity player recorded 24 sacks in his career.
