Mercury News Comments:
Named the most valuable defensive back in the WCAL, Thrappas did it all for the Warriors. He had 88 tackles, including 13 in a playoff win over North Salinas. "Phillip was the quarterback of our defense. His versatility allowed us to line him up like a linebacker or in the secondary," Warriors defensive coordinator Eric Scharrenberg said. Thrappas picked off four passes and was also the team's kicker, connecting on six field goals - including four of more than 40 yards.
