Blodgett was right in the middle of a stunning Division I semifinal comeback, forcing and recovering a fumble that led to the go-ahead touchdown that led to the go-ahead touchdown in the final minute of a 39-35 win over Independence. Blodgett, the De Anza Division co-defensive lineman of the year, totaled 69 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles.
